Lewistown Borough Police arrested a woman found lying on the sidewalk Wednesday night.  According to the report, Police found Morgan Schenker at the intersection of South Grand Street and Susquehanna Avenue.  Officers determined Schenker was under the influence of an unknown substance.  She was placed under arrest, and found in possession of an automatic knife, multiple empty heroin packets, various drug paraphernalia, prescription pills she was not licensed to possess, and a small amount of marijuana.

 

The Pennsylvania Historical & Museum Commission (PHMC) has awarded almost $2 million in grants that will benefit 142 eligible museums and official county historical societies from 55 Pennsylvania counties.  The goal of this program is to strengthen Pennsylvania’s museum community by supporting museums and county historical societies that are not supported by other state agency funding programs.  The Mifflin County and Juniata County Historical Societies will each receive $4,000.  In Huntingdon County, the East Broad Top Railroad Preservation Association will receive more than $15,000 ($15,510).  Isett Acres Museum will get $5,099, and the Huntingdon County Historical Society will receive $4,000.
