Penn State University Police along with state and federal agencies are investigating a shooting threat from earlier this week. Police alerted the public Tuesday at about noon of a social media post that warned of a shooting that references the school. Authorities say they are still following up on pertinent leads and trying to determine the credibility of the threat. Police ask that students, employees and visitors report suspicious activity by calling 911, or reporting tips through their online form.
A New York couple has been arrested after passing fraudulent $100 bills. Mifflin County Regional Police apprehended Jeminee Simon of Valley Stream, and Christopher Decodio of Brooklyn Wednesday afternoon at Ollie’s. According to Regional Police, reports of a black male and female using fake currency were made throughout Mifflin and Juniata Counties. The suspects would make small purchases with the fraudulent bills and receive cash for change. Both were placed in the Mifflin County Correctional Facility.
