The Conneaut School Board has voted to move forward with a lawsuit against the county over an unexpected one-hundred-and-thirty-two thousand dollar property tax bill. County officials revoked the tax-exempt status of the vacant Conneaut Valley Middle School, sparking a fierce clash between leaders. The district's attorney calls the move unheard of in Pennsylvania and is threatening to seek punitive damages in common pleas court.In local infrastructure, a four-point-six million dollar paving project is active this morning on Route Two-Eighty-Five in Greenwood and Fairfield townships. Commuters should expect daily lane restrictions and traffic shifts controlled by flaggers between Cochranton and Geneva running through this fall.And in the state governor's race, candidates Josh Shapiro and Stacy Garrity are drawing sharp battle lines over abortion.
